Answers:

1. Where can I purchase automotive or marine replacement parts for my McGard set?

Replacement parts can only be purchased direct through McGard. To purchase an additional lock or key tool you will need to have your I.D. registration number which was included with your lock set when originally purchased. All McGard products and replacement parts are available by calling McGard’s Customer Service Department at 1-800-444-5847. Order by mail is also an option. Send us your McGard I.D. Registration Card (if you have not done so previously), complete the order form contained in the McGard package and specify exactly what you need. If you do not have an order form, please click here. 2. Can I order replacement parts on your website?

Yes! Replacement parts can be ordered from cs.mcgard.com with any major credit card. To order please have your McGard I.D. Registration Card on hand.   

3. What is the McGard ID Registration Card/Sticker?

The McGard I.D. Registration Card/Sticker is included in every set of McGard Locks. This card/sticker identifies the part number, style and pattern code of the lock set which you purchased. It is recommended that you fill out and return this registration portion to McGard immediately after purchase. This service is free and is to help you in the event that you lose your I.D. Registration card/sticker. This information will be entered into our computer database to help you with future replacement part orders.

4. What should I do if I lost my McGard ID Registration Card and need a replacement part?

If you have misplaced your McGard ID Registration Card which was included with your lock set when originally purchased, check in your vehicle glove compartment as this is the most common place for the I.D. Card/Sticker to be stored. If you are unable to locate the I.D. card/sticker, please contact McGard Customer Service during normal business hours Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm EST at 1-800-444-5847 for further assistance.

6. Can my New Car Dealership assist me with servicing my McGard Wheel Locks?

If you need immediate assistance and have an Original Equipment Wheel Lock Set on your vehicle, please contact your franchised new car dealership as they may be able to assist you immediately. 7. How many wheel locks should be installed per wheel?

McGard only recommends the use of one wheel lock nut per wheel. For additional information regarding this question, please contact our Customer Service Department during business hours, Monday-Friday 8 am – 5 pm Eastern Standard Time at 1-800-444-5847 for additional assistance.

8. What is the difference between the wheel lock and the key?

A wheel lock functions like a regular lug nut on your wheel but requires a special key tool for installation and removal.

A wheel lock key tool is used with your lug wrench and is needed to install and remove Wheel Locks.

9. Where can I purchase McGard products?

McGard products are available from better retailers in your area, online retailers, our online shop: shop.mcgard.com and directly through our Customer Service Department. Ask for McGard products by name and don’t accept a substitute brand, they will not provide the same quality or security. 13. What is the warranty/return policy for McGard products?

To the original purchaser McGard LLC warrants its parts, other than chrome plated lug nuts, against defects of workmanship and materials for a period of one year. To the original purchaser McGard LLC warrants its chrome plated lug nuts against defects of workmanship and materials for life. Chrome plating on lug nuts is warranted for life not to chip, peel or rust under normal use and care.

Individual parts suspected of defects must be returned prepaid and adequately packaged to McGard, 3875 California Road, Orchard Park, New York 14127-4198 USA. After inspection, parts will be replaced without charge if found to be defective. Any chrome plated lug nuts returned under this warranty must be accompanied by proof of purchase. This is the only warranty on McGard products and no other express warranty will be binding on the manufacturer. Corrosion on parts and/or discoloration of anodized color rings and caps due to neglect, adverse weather or chemicals is not covered by this warranty. Failure to install the nylon plugs for street use into open-end lug nuts may cause corrosion on threads, which is not covered under warranty. This warranty does not cover any item that has been damaged, mutilated, altered, misused, abused or forcibly removed. McGard locks are not guaranteed to be theft proof nor does each set have a unique code. McGard reserves the right to make changes in specifications and design without any prior notice, or incurring responsibility.

The products in this web page are designed for sale in North and South America only. Replacement key service and warranty for this product can only be performed through the headquarters location in the USA. Product owner is responsible for all shipping and handling charges outside of North America.

Remedies Exclusive: McGard's liability shall be limited exclusively to repairing or replacing parts under the conditions as aforesaid, and in no event will McGard be liable for consequential damages.

The user must verify with the vehicle manufacturer and wheel manufacturer the correct lug nut thread size, length and shape of seat (cone, radius or flat seat) before installing lug nuts/wheel locks. Use of the wrong size or type of lug nut/wheel lock will damage the receiving threads and may cause failure or loss of the wheel which may result in serious injury. McGard is not responsible for clearance problems with hubcaps or wheel covers.
